ABOUT SHAMROCK RABBITS....
Daniel O'Hara, an accountant by education, started Shamrock Rabbits in 2009 with the idea of having a few meat rabbits of his own. He purchased his first trio of Palomino meat breed rabbits at Montana Fair in Billings, MT. When he purchased the Palomino trio, he also noticed that the kids seemed to love the small Holland Lop. Daniel decided to purchase a few Hollands. as well. Over the past few years, Daniel tried a different meat breed, the Californians. While they are both fine breeds, Daniel sold off his Californians and Palominos to specialize in the Holland Lop. Daniel Has steadily been improving his rabbits, increasing his knowledge and beefing up his internet presence with a full-blown website instead of a blog he had used for years. Daniel named his rabbitry, Shamrock Rabbits to honor his father's Irish ancestry. Daniel's great-grandfather James O'Hara immigrated to the United States in about 1855, escaping the notorious Great Potato Famine that struck his homeland of Ireland. |

Here I am (Daniel) at about age 10 sitting on my brother's car. At about this age, I got my first rabbit as a pet. Rabbits make a great pet for kids to teach them responsibility.
Holland Lops specifically offer a great disposition, small size, lovable lop ears, and they come in a variety of colors and patterns.
